If you are picking up an item for someone else, you will need Auction Receipt showing items paid, photo identification, plus a note from the designated "winning bidder" specifically naming you as their authorized representative. Winning bidder will need to provide all manpower and materials in order to be able to move purchases off premises (boxes, pallets, rope, tarps, etc.) Same applies if you hire a shipping company to pick up your purchases- you will still need to have shipper or someone else provide packing, manpower and materials in order to prepare item for shipping. All items are sold "AS-IS", no refund, no guarantee. Note: Our facility has no loading dock and cannot accommodate a tractor trailer entering the complex. Awarded items must be removed from the COUNTY's premises within ten (10) business days of the close of auction. If unclaimed by winning bidders, the COUNTY reserves the right to re-auction or award the item to the next highest bidder. All surplus property will be sold "as is", "where is." The COUNTY disclaims all warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, as to the condition, quality, completeness or fitness for any particular or general purpose or compliance to safety regulations of the property being sold. Descriptions, nor any oral statements made concerning any item, shall be considered as a warranty, expressed or implied. THE COUNTY OFFERS NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES. DETERMINATION OF CONDITION, FUNCTION, AND PERCEIVED OR ASSUMED VALUE IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE BUYER. Buyers may view auction items by appointment only, M-F from 8:00- 12:00 PM, and from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM at the item designated location, unless otherwise stated on the auction website. Due to liability reasons, no children will be allowed. Public Processing, LLC, a third-party payment processing company handles all payments for County of Sarasota. Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED! A 10% buyer's premium will be added to all purchases. Sales tax will be collected, currently 7%, on non-vehicles. |
