Description
This sale consists of one 1929 Allen Herschell Le Grande Carrousel. The Carrousel has 24 horses and two seating areas, one of which is equipped for a wheel chair.

The Carrousel is located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona at the Aquatic Center.

The Carrousel was mechanically operational when taken out of service a number of years ago. However, the Carrousel has not operated in years. Cosmetically, the Carrousel is in need of significant / total restoration. The canvas top for the Carrousel was sun rotted and removed some time ago.

We understand the Carrousel has undergone at least two previous restorations and was operated for a number years in the English Village at the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City in the late 1980's.

Please note the condition from the photos. There are additional photos of the horses and seating, faces, mechanical areas and landscapes painted on the top of the Carrousel in the attached PDF documents.

The dataplate on the motor indicates it is a Baldor five horsepower (5HP) three phase motor. (The dataplate can't be read in the photo of the motor)

Each horse has been photographed and the photo pasted into the PDF document.

The Carrousel is being sold "as is - where is" with no warranty of serviceability expressed or implied. Successful buyer will be required to sign a statement acknowledging that it they will remove the Carrousel within 30 days after payment has been received.

Payment must be made within five (5) days of award.

The Carrousel must be physically removed from the Aquatic Center within thirty (30) days of payment.

If the Carrousel is not removed within the allotted time frame, a $150.00 per day storage fee will be assessed for each calendar day until the Carrousel is removed. Payment of any storage fee must be made before removal of the Carrousel.

If the Carrousel is not removed within sixty (60) days of payment, the buyer will be considered to be in default and the property will be disposed of by the Surplus Property Management Office.

Any costs associated with the disposal will be borne by the auction buyer and the Surplus Property Management Office will use all available means to recover those costs.

NOTE: Through the act of bidding on this lot, the bidder agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of sale as modified within this sales announcement.

The process to disassemble / remove the Carrousel must be approved by the Lake Havasu Street Division Supervisor. Neither City staff nor City owned equipment will be available to assist in the removal. However, power to the Carrousel will be disconnected by the City.

Components of the Carrousel may not be left on City property.

Successful purchaser will be required to show the receipt to the Street Division Supervisor before starting any work to remove the Carrousel.

The City of Lake Havasu neither owned nor operated the Carrousel and has no additional information on the condition of the unit.

Inspections must be coordinated at least 24 hours in advance and times / dates available are subject to City operations work load.

Inspection is recommended and is by APPOINTMENT only: Monday- Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. MST.
