AGENCY WILL NOT SHIP. Public Processing handles all payments for the City of Independence. Acceptable forms of payment are: wire transfer, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED! Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days of close of auction The City of Independence will collect 7.725% sales tax, on non-vehicles items if applicable. The buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment. Buyer's Premium: A ten percent (10%) Buyer's Premium shall be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment. All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick-up or the said agency will not release the item to you. Bid Deposits: City of Independence may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers. Pick-up hours are by appointment only. Removal. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agency's premises within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Notice of Award. If the Buyer, after making payment for an item, fails to remove the item within the specified period, the agency reserves the right to (1) to retain any and all payments; and (2) to dispose of the item as deemed desirable by the agency. |
