In many cases the actual condition of item(s) is unknown and Thurston County does not guarantee or warrant the item's condition or quality. Thurston County reserves the right to withdraw any item being offered at any time. The successful bidder shall be responsible for removal of the items and shall assume any cost associated with removal. No refunds or adjustments will be made on any award. Bids submitted shall remain firm and effective for a period of five business days following the closing date. Successful bidder shall remit payment within seven business days, including 8.7 % sales tax. Cashier's Checks, Certified Checks and Cash payments can be made. Cash payments shall be exact change. No personal checks will be accepted. An additional 7 % surcharge shall be added before taxes to all purchases made and the buyer shall add and include the surcharge amount when making payment to Thurston County. Property shall be removed within ten business days from date of notice of award or the purchase may be forfeited. Property shall not be removed prior to the purchaser remitting full payment. Pick up of the property shall be by appointment only at 9:00 am Wednesday following payment. Thurston County will exercise its normal care for protection up to the time for removal of items, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
