IN ORDER TO BID ON THIS AUCTION YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF THAT YOU POSSESS A MVD-438-A SALVAGE VEHICLE DEALER LICENSE. YOU WILL THEN BE ADDED TO A PRE-QUALIFIED LIST SO YOU CAN BID. CALL THE AUCTION CONTACT FOR FURTHER INFORMATION RULES FOR THIS AUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED. PLEASE READ BELOW. You will be issued a VTR Form 71-5 Transfer of Junk Vehicle to Demolisher. This auction is for a lot of approximately 16 vehicles, one boat and one RV (1 or 2 vehicles may be added to this pile). 1) Bidder must possess a MVD-438-A Salvage Vehicle Dealer License 2) Bidder must have a forklift with at least 15,000 lbs lift capacity 3) The removal of parts, repair/maintenance and/or dismantling of vehicles is prohibited while on City property. ONLY WORK REQUIRED TO MOVE AND TRANSPORT THE PROPERTY WILL BE ALLOWED) 4) Bidder must claim and remove all property within TWO working days of winning bid. Bidder must make an appointment with auction contact to view this item and winning bidder must coordinate for pick up time of item. Winning bidder must follow ALL City-State-Federal laws (EPA Rules). Bidder must have valid licenses from all regulatory agencies and show proof or provide copies. Winning bidder must pick up and dispose of ALL PROPERTY deemed junked by the Houston Police Impound Lot; This included ALL CONTENTS of vehicles/trailers/boats and any other property. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once the bidder reports to the impound lot for removal of junk property; the bidder MUST COMPLETE THE PROCESS WITHIN 24 HOURS. NO DISPOSAL OF JUNK PROPERTY WILL BE DONE ON A PIECEMEAL BASIS. (Note: This does not mean you can work for 24 hours.) Once the bidder initiates the process, it will be completed (Example: Winning bidder will not be allowed to periodically at their discretion and dispose of 2-4 items, stop and return later for another 2-4 items.) After completing the removal of the property, THE BIDDER MUST CLEAN AND REMOVE ALL TRASH AND DEBRIS FROM THE WORKING AREA Winning bidder must have proper heavy duty equipment to properly remove and dispose of junked property in a safe and timely manner. (Heavy duty fork lift with car carrier - 18 wheel flat bed truck etc) Bidders/Workers will stay in the designated work area of the police impound lot and not leave this area Supervisors assigned to the Police Impound Lot have the authority to expel any bidder who does not comply with all laws, rules and regulations. *PAYMENT MUST BE MADE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTION'S CLOSE.* The above supercedes are normal payment time of seven days. (NO EXCEPTIONS) Payment can me made at the City of Houston's Property Disposal Management Office ("PDMO") located at 2511 Broad St., Houston, TX 77087. Management reserves the right to block/ban customers who do not pay for an item or do not adhere to all guidelines/requirements.

All items are sold as-is, where-is without warranty, expressed or implied. Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Seller for any and all damages, claims or liability for injuries to persons or property caused during the sale or by the removal of the item.
Items sold must be picked up within 5 Business days of close of auction at the City location indicated, unless otherwise stated in description. Pick up times may vary at each location. Bidder must read the Terms and Conditions for complete information. We strongly encourage customers to conduct a basic inspection of items as the staff has limited capacity to answer questions in detail. The responsibility to determine the condition of the property rests with the bidder. WE DO NOT SHIP ITEMS, THE WINNING BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVAL OF THE ITEM. No service of any kind will be furnished by the City of Houston. The winning bidder will assume any cost of weighing, packaging, crating, loading or hauling. Buyers Premium A 3% Buyer Premium shall be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment. Public Processing, LLC collects Credit Card and Electronic payments for the City. The City of Houston handles Manual payments "Only" in the form of Money Orders or Cashiers Checks and must be paid direct to the City.(Please see Terms and condition for further details.) |
