This auction is for (1) Steelcase legal size metal filing cabinet with wood grain type finish; 4 drawers, no locks ; 52"H x 29"W X 18"D. This item is from the historical Julia Ideson Building, Houston, Texas.
These articles were used by the Houston Public Library. Because of the construction and renovation, viewing and pickup times are limited to the following: Viewing times are as follows: Saturday, January 23 from 10-1; Sunday, January 24 from 1-5 Other viewing may be made by appointment ONLY. Furniture pickup dates are January 26,28 and 30 from 10am to 5pm or by appointment as necessary. We strongly encourage bidders to inspect any/all items of interest during the viewing times. Reading materials, books, maps and office supplies shown in pictures are not included in the auction. The winning bidder MUST provide their own labor and materials to remove the item(s) from the library. Bidders may contact a local shipping/moving company to pick up, package and ship their item(s). Customers MUST take all of the items with them at time of pickup. Payment must be made PRIOR TO PICKUP online or at the City of Houston's Property Disposal Management Office ("PDMO") located at 2511 Broad St., Houston, TX 77087. Customers must bring their receipts as proof of payment. Management reserves the right to block/ban customers who abandon property or refuse to pay for an item.

All items are sold as-is, where-is without warranty, expressed or implied. Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Seller for any and all damages, claims or liability for injuries to persons or property caused during the sale or by the removal of the item.
Items sold must be picked up within 5 Business days of close of auction at the City location indicated, unless otherwise stated in description. Pick up times may vary at each location. Bidder must read the Terms and Conditions for complete information. We strongly encourage customers to conduct a basic inspection of items as the staff has limited capacity to answer questions in detail. The responsibility to determine the condition of the property rests with the bidder. WE DO NOT SHIP ITEMS, THE WINNING BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVAL OF THE ITEM. No service of any kind will be furnished by the City of Houston and the winning bidder will assume any cost of weighing, packaging, crating, loading or hauling. Buyers Premium A 3% Buyer Premium shall be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment. Public Surplus collects Credit Card and Electronic payments for the City. The City of Houston handles Manual payments "Only" in the form of Money Orders or Cashiers Checks and must be paid direct to the City.(Please see Terms and condition for further details.) |
