Description
Condition: SEE DESCRIPTION
OTC Tools 42262A - MinuteManPlus automotive battery, alternator, starter tester & charging station.
This heavy-duty diagnostic tool is designed to test, analyze, and charge both traditional lead-acid and AGM batteries as well as tests alternators and starters.
Key Features include:
- Battery Testing: Accurately diagnoses battery health, state of charge, and cranking capabilities.
- Charging Capability: Features built-in enhanced battery charging to service discharged or failing batteries.
- Performance Evaluation: The unit measures cranking voltage and current draw during engine startup.
- Diagnostics: It explicitly flags a "Good Starter" or "Bad Starter" on the LCD screen.
- Defect Identification: It detects excessive current draw, helping you identify internal starter defects or severe engine drag.
- Dual-State Testing: It checks the charging system's behavior at both vehicle idle and high RPMs.
- Component Metrics: The tester captures and displays regulator voltage and peak amperage.
- Advanced Diode Testing: Instead of using standard "ripple voltage" checks, the unit uses advanced waveform analysis to precisely determine the condition of the alternator diodes.
- Built-in Tachometer: It utilizes patented battery-sensing technology to read engine RPMs up to 4,000 RPM directly through the battery cables, eliminating the need to connect separate test leads to the vehicle's ignition system
This unit is in working condition.
