Up for auction are seventy-one (71) Dell laptops, consisting primarily of Dell Latitude models, with a small number of Dell Precision laptops, as detailed below:

Condition and Notes
These laptops are missing their storage drives and/or memory, do not include chargers, and do not have operating systems installed. All units are untested and may exhibit cosmetic wear, including scratches, scuffs, dings, dents, and sticker residue. Please refer to the photos for additional details.

  • Sales tax will be added to the winning bid unless a valid California reseller’s permit is provided.
  • Pickup is by appointment only.

Eligibility Restrictions
County employees may not directly or indirectly participate in the purchase of surplus property if they are responsible for surplus declarations, acceptance of offers, or are assigned to the Procurement Division’s surplus program. In addition, members of the Board of Supervisors, the County Executive Officer, and County Counsel may not directly or indirectly participate in the purchase of surplus property.

Inspection of Vehicles by appointment only on Wednesdays from 8 am to 4 pm. Inspection of Non-Vehicle items by appointment only on Thursdays 9:00 am until noon. Vehicle pick-up REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT (Pick up is Thursdays from noon until 4:00 pm). Non-vehicle auctions REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT (Thursdays 9:00 am until noon).


Nevada County may require a bid deposit to ensure fairness to all buyers.

PayMac handles all payments for Nevada County.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Nevada County will charge the applicable sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for removal or pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Removal must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award of the winning bid. The notice of award, the payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at the time of pick-up, or Nevada County will not release the item to you.
