[ View/Ask ]2004 Northwind Marine Fire/Rescue Craft with 2004 King Trailer
This vessel is a purpose-built aluminum fire-rescue and firefighting craft manufactured by Northwind Marine, Inc. Designed for inland waterways and near-shore operations, it is constructed of welded marine-grade aluminum and engineered to withstand the rigors of emergency service, including beaching and high-load pumping operations.
The boat measures 19 feet in overall length with an 8 ft 5 in beam and features a planing hull with a modified “V” bottom for stability, maneuverability, and load-carrying capability. The open deck layout provides a stable working platform when underway or on station.
Propulsion and pumping are provided by a GM Marine Power 4.3-liter EFI V6 gasoline engine, rated at a minimum of 225 horsepower, coupled to an American Turbine SD-309 jet pump. A remotely operated diverter valve allows the propulsion pump to supply firefighting operations while maintaining vessel control. Running condition GOOD.
The integrated fire pump system delivers:
• 1,000 gallons per minute (GPM) at 100 PSI, or
• 1,300 GPM at 65 PSI,
measured at the fire monitor.
The vessel is designed for shallow-water operation typical of jet-driven craft; draft is minimal (exact draft not specified by manufacturer), supporting operations close to shore and in restricted waterways.
CONDITION NOTE:
The inflatable pontoon collar has a small air leak and requires reinflation every few days. No other condition representations are made.
