General Description
The Town of Friday Harbor is offering for sale a 1997 Mack RD600S heavy-duty dump truck.
The truck is equipped with a Mack E7-400 V-MAC diesel engine rated at 400 horsepower and a Mack TRTXL1070B 12-speed manual transmission. Factory documentation identifies the vehicle as an RD600S 6-wheel truck configured for dump service.
Original specifications list a 38,000-lb GVW rating, 100,000-lb GCW rating, 210-inch wheelbase, heavy-duty rear suspension and dual fuel tanks. The vehicle was configured as a straight truck with a dump body.
Factory equipment documentation also identifies a Rockwell steel dump body and lift axle as installed equipment.

Vehicle Location / Ferry Access
Vehicle Location: Friday Harbor, Washington – San Juan Island
Please note that Friday Harbor is located on San Juan Island and is accessible by Washington State Ferry from Anacortes, Washington. Buyers traveling to inspect or pick up the vehicle will need to plan for ferry travel to and from the island.
A ferry reservation is not required, but it is strongly recommended, particularly when traveling with a vehicle. Buyers are responsible for making their own travel and ferry arrangements and should allow adequate time for ferry loading, unloading, and possible delays.
The successful bidder is responsible for coordinating the pickup date and time with the Town of Friday Harbor and for all transportation, loading, ferry, and removal costs associated with the vehicle.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.
Town of Friday Harbor will charge a sales tax of 8.5% on all non-vehicle equipment sales. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. Tax on vehicle sales will be paid to Washington State Department of Licensing at time of vehicle transfer.
A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
