Auction items are stored on one pallet and are NOT secured, crated, or shrink-wrapped. If the buyer intends to ship the auction items, then the buyer must make arrangements with a company that will crate, shrink-wrap, or secure the auction items prior to shipping. County staff will not perform the above tasks. Shipping arrangements, loading, vendor selection, and all costs associated with removing the units off County property shall be the sole responsibility of the buyer. County is not responsible for auction items rejected by trucking companies for any reason.
Units were reported to be in operative condition at time of transfer into Surplus in January of 2018. (Hard Drive has been wiped)

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.
Placer County will charge a sales tax of 7.25% for applicable transactions (vehicles are not charged sales tax). The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
All sales are final. Public Processing will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for removal or pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Removal must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award of the winning bid. The notice of award, the payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at the time of pick-up, or Placer County will not release the item to you.
Viewing of auctions by appointment only on Thursdays. Vehicle pick-up REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT (Auction item pick up are Thursdays from noon until 4:30 pm). Non-vehicle auctions REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT (Auction item pick up are Thursdays 9:00am until 11:45am.
The successful bidder will be responsible for the packing, loading and/or transporting of any item(s).
