Item 5 - The City of Orting is offering for sale one 1993 Chevy 3500 HD Dump Truck. Engine is a 454 CI V8 with 4 speed transmission. The Dump bed is hydraulically operated PTO. This vehicle was taken out of service in 2015. To the best of our knowledge the vehicle is in running and driving condition, however, details on its condition are unknown. We recommend that all bidders view/inspect auction items before placing a bid.                                    

Be advised that these items have been previously used and may contain defects. 

THIS SURPLUS ASSET IS BEING SOLD "AS IS", WITH NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
No assistance will be provided to determine if the vehicle will start. Must have proper equipment to remove vehicle as quickly as possible.

No maintenance or repair work of any type will be permitted on property. Tire replacement will be allowed for transporting. No Guarantee All Parts Are Present

Non-Running vehicles must be towed.

Vehicle maintenance records will not be provided.

License plates have been removed and temporary tags will not be provided.

Winning bidder is responsible for all costs associated with title transfer and plates.  Current title is in the City's name so it will be an easy transfer.  Winning bidder must call to arrange a pick up time.

BUYER COMMUNICATION: All communication related to auctions shall be directed via email (email link provided above in Auction contact section).

REMOVAL: The buyer (or authorized representative) must supply all personnel for item removal. Be prepared to load items from current location.  Staff is not allowed to assist with loading. All loading and transportation of this property is the buyer's responsibility including making sure the authorized representative comes fully equipped (equipment, labor, etc) to remove items. No loading assistance will be provided. 

Removal. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from the agency premises within 10 business days after payment has been received. If the Buyer, after making payment for an item, fails to remove the item within the specified time, the agency reserves the right (1) to retain all payments; and (2) to dispose of the item through another auction or otherwise. Successful bidders are responsible for packing, loading, removing and transporting all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Notice of Award. The Buyer must make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will  agency assume responsibility for packing, loading or transporting auction item(s). Buyer shall be liable to and reimburse agency for any damage to agency's property caused by Buyer's or Buyer Agent's removal of auction item(s) from the premises. No maintenance may be performed on agency property. 

For 3rd Party Pickup: Before property will be released, the winning buyer will be required to send an e-mail (from the winning buyer's e-mail address used for the auction), identifying the representative authorized to pick-up paid item on their behalf. The authorized representative will need to bring the Notice of Award, Paid Receipt (photo copies are acceptable), and their picture identification (such as a Driver License). 

 

Attention:
1- Do NOT bid if our Terms and Conditions can NOT be met (Payment/Pickup dates within auction).
2- Shortly after an auction ends, the winner of the auction will receive an email from Public Surplus telling them they have won. This email will be titled “Winning Notice on Auction…” and will include five detailed steps that will help guide you through successful completion of your auction.  Remember, Payment is made to Public Surplus. If you receive an email informing you that you have won an auction, it is your responsibility to contact us by email (follow the “send email” link under the Auction contact field of the auction you won).
3- Emails sent to City of Orting are responded to Monday – Thursday, 8:30am to 3:00pm, Pacific Standard Time (except during City Holidays). Should you not receive an email response, please check your SPAM folder.

Inspection of Auction items at a predetermined date, time and place as announced in the auction offering. No appointments are offered or made.
City of Orting may require a bid deposit.
PayMac handles all payments for City of Orting.
Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.
City of Orting will not charge a sales tax. The sales tax rate will be calculated and charged by the State of Washington when the successful bidder transfers the title.
A Buyers Premium of 10.5% may be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
All sales are final. Public Processing will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
TEST DRIVES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. VEHICLES THAT ARE LISTED IN RUNNING CONDITION CAN BE STARTED TO INSPECT SYSTEM FUNCTIONALITY.
