COVID-19 Customer information

Anyone planning to visit the facility should be advised of the following:

 PLEASE DO NOT VISIT OUR FACILITY IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ARE TRUE:

• You are feeling sick
• You have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the past 14 days
• You live with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days
• You are required to self-quarantine as stipulated in the City of Chicago Travel Restriction Guidelines

DO NOT ENTER IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of Breath
• Difficulty Breathing
• Chills
• Sore Throat

WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR FACILITIES:

• Face Covering Requirements
• Somewhat Longer Lines and Longer Wait Times Than Usual
• Space Re-configurations
• Directional Floor Symbols
• Directional Signage Posted
• Revised Activities Schedules and Availability
• Revised Facility Hours
• Facility Occupancy Limits

Upon entering our facility, remain in your vehicle until provided further direction by City of Chicago facility personnel. In addition, only one person will be permitted in the office at a time and access to the outdoor Salvage Yard will be limited as directed by City of Chicago staff.

Failure to abide by the COVID-19 Customer Safety Policy may result in removal from the facility and/or suspension of your Public Surplus account.

**IMPORTANT***Appointments are required for access to the Salvage Yard located at 10101 S. Stony Island, for site visits, drop-off of documents and pick-up/removal of equipment and materials. Please email the contact listed on the auction to schedule your appointment.

Auction Affidavit is in PDF format and can be found in the attachment section of the specific auction. The completed affidavit is to be provided to the Salvage Operations personnel at the time of merchandise pick-up.

IMPORTANT PAYMENT CHANGES - PLEASE READ!  Payments made by Cashier's Check, Money Orders or Money grams will no longer be accepted at the Salvage Yard or by mail in 2019. All Auctions with end dates of January 15, 2019 (or later) will be subject to this change. Payments must be made either by credit card through this website or by cash, Cashier's Check, Money Order, Money gram or credit card at one of the following four Revenue Payment Center locations:

You must provide your Payment Center Receipt along with your Public Surplus Winning Bidder Notification and signed Affidavit at time of equipment pick-up.  

IMPORTANT:  Third (3rd) party payments are not accepted on any auctions. The winning bidder MUST make payment (please read the linked Terms and Conditions). Third party payment may result in default of the bidder/auction.
