We will collect certain information such as your IP address and which pages you visited for historical and statistical purposes, but this information will not be associated with your name unless and until you register and login to your account. To access and/or make changes to your personal information, login to our site with your username and password, click on "My Stuff" then "Profile." From there, you will be able to see what personal information you have given us and make any desired changes or updates. Information from your use of our site. When you log in to our site with your username and password, we collect information about your use of our site, including but not limited to page visits, searches, and transactional information such as bids made or items listed for sale. Information from other sources. We do not collect information about users from third-party sources such as public records, government agencies, credit agencies or social media sites. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION Use in connection with the site. We use your personal information to facilitate your selling and buying of items on our site. We may use your information to provide you with customer service and support, to send confirmation of a winning bid, to enforce the terms and conditions of our site, or to respond to a complaint from a buyer, seller or third-party. Limited disclosure of information to third-parties. We may share your information with affiliated companies included within The Public Group, LLC site in order to provide you with additional services. Additionally, Public Surplus maintains two separate and distinct user databases: buyers and sellers (government agencies). Information from the buyer database is available to some government sellers and all government sellers are able to see information about buyers who have placed a bid on their auction. Government sellers on Public Surplus are individually verified and activated. Anonymous, unverified registrations are not allowed. This helps ensure the legitimacy of transactions between sellers and buyers. Please immediately report any violations of this policy to privacy@publicsurplus.com We may disclose your information if we reasonably believe it is required by law or regulation, necessary to enforce our terms and conditions, or necessary to protect our rights or the rights of a third party. We do not market, sell, or disclose your personal information, including email addresses, to any third-party for their marketing purposes. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION We store and process your information on computers located in the United States that are protected by physical and technological security devices. Protect your account by signing out after each visit. Do not respond to emails that request your username and password, even if they look legitimate. Emails from Public Surplus will always contain the address "@publicsurplus.com" and we will never ask you for your account password. Change your password and notify us immediately if you suspect the security of your account has been breached.
