2002 Butler LT 14250 WLS Equipment Trailer. The 2002 Butler LT 14250 WLS is a tandem-axle equipment trailer with a 14,000-pound Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). It is built by Butler Trailer Manufacturing, a company known for producing heavy-duty equipment for the utility and construction industries.
Based on Butler's model numbering conventions, the specifications for the LT 14250 WLS can be broken down as follows:
  • LT: Stands for Light-duty Transport, the product line for equipment trailers.
  • 14: Indicates a GVWR of 14,000 lbs, although some models in this weight class may be rated at 13,500 lbs.
  • 250: This part of the model number likely signifies the deck or bed length. Given typical manufacturer practices, this could translate to a 25-foot bed.
  • WLS: Represents a specific configuration.
    • WL: Likely stands for "wide-load" or "wide," indicating that the trailer has a wide bed to accommodate various equipment.
    • S: Likely refers to a specific feature, such as a steel deck, as opposed to a wood or wood-and-steel combination.
Potential features and specifications
While some specifications can vary based on the exact configuration, a 2002 LT 14250 WLS would likely include:
  • Axles: Dual 7,000 lb. axles for a combined 14,000 lb. GVWR.
  • Frame: All-steel construction for maximum durability.
  • Deck: Standard floor material is often steel diamond plate.
  • Loading: Tilt-bed functionality for easy loading of equipment.
  • Ramps: Adjustable, fold-up ramps may be included.
  • Brakes: Electric brakes on all axles.
  • Tires: Four heavy-duty tires (e.g., 10-ply).
  • Lights: Sealed, grommet-mounted lights for enhanced visibility.
