United Farm No-Till Drill
Item listed and sold as is
United Farm Tools (UFT) no-till drills are highly regarded as heavy-duty, budget-friendly legacy machines that deliver exceptional seed-to-soil contact, though they require patience with calibration and parts sourcing.
They remain popular choices for small to mid-sized operations, cover cropping, and wildlife food plots.
The Good: Performance Pros
- Hydraulic Weight Transfer System: A standout feature on models like the UFT 5300. It can transfer roughly 1,500 pounds of the tractor’s weight directly to the drill. This ensures excellent soil penetration, even in hard, dry, or rocky ground
- Consistent Stand & Placement: Users consistently report that when set up properly, the machine yields an even, ideal seed depth and excellent crop stands
- Heavy-Duty Build: Built with a rugged frame and durable row components. Owners note that these machines can take a beating in rough terrain without frequent frame failures
- Low Initial Investment: Used units typically sell anywhere from $4,000 to $9,000 depending on the working width (commonly 8-foot to 15-foot models) and condition. This makes them drastically cheaper than newer John Deere or Great Plains models
