Two 48-inch round tables and two 48-inch square tables; eleven orange upholstered library chairs.

Eleven of solid wood library chairs; wood chair frame by Remington Rand’s Library Bureau label, seat by W.H. Gunlocke Chair Company of Wayland, New York. Upholstered orange vinyl material, with 95% synthetic foam and 5% blended cotton felt padding according to label. Wood frame is, according to the labels, birch.

Items are sold strictly "As Is, Where Is."

PAYMENT

Winning bidders have 5 business days to pay for your item(s).

Once payment is made, item(s) MUST be picked up within 5 business days.  

NO EXCEPTIONS! 

 

PICKUP ARRANGEMENTS

After payment is received, the winning bidder will receive an email with the City contact information to make pickup arrangements.   

Pick-up hours are by appointment only. 

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PICK UP ITEM(S) BEFORE RECEIVING THE DEPARTMENT CONTACT EMAIL.   

Please allow at least 24 hours notice from the time you contact the City representative to schedule your pickup.

 

PICKUP GUIDELINES

If someone else will pick up your items, written authorization must be provided to the City BEFORE pickup.

YOU MUST PICK UP ALL ITEMS.  ITEMS CANNOT BE LEFT BEHIND AT THE PICK-UP LOCATION.

The City of Norfolk does not prepare, package or ship items.  

Bidders are responsible for bringing all necessary help, tools and equipment for moving items. City staff cannot assist with loading or moving.

City employees are not permitted to bid on City’s auctions.

City of Norfolk may collect sales tax.

Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agencies premises within 5 business days of notification by Public Processing of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.

Bid Deposits: City of Norfolk may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.

Pick-up hours by appointment only. Successful bidder will be responsible for removal of item.

The successful bidder shall remove all items listed within the auction at the time of pickup.

The City of Norfolk will not ship any items .
