Two Federal Signal 2001 Equinox High Power Directional Rotating Sirens – Vintage Emergency Alert System (For Parts or Restoration)

Up for auction are two impressive Federal Signal 2001-series rotating sirens – iconic high-power directional models known for their powerful 10/16-port chopper and long-range sound output (commonly used for civil defense, dam, or community warning systems). These are classic mechanical sirens from Federal Signal, featuring the signature rotating design for focused, high-decibel coverage.

Condition:

  • Pulled from service and decommissioned.
  • Both units appear complete with original motors, rotors, and control cabinets (controller boards fully deprogrammed/removed for security).
  • Note: While they strongly match the Federal Signal 2001 Equinox high-power directional models, we are not 100% certain of the exact sub-model/variant due to age and modifications. Manufacturer is definitively Federal Signal.

Ideal for collectors, siren enthusiasts, restoration projects, or non-emergency display use (e.g., museums, private property alerts, or parts harvesting). Sold as-is, no warranty. Buyer responsible for pickup/transport (these are large/heavy units – approx. 800–1000 lbs each).

Location: Piru, CA area (local pickup required)
